According to a report by DotMed.com, Congress is considering a proposal to amend the Public Health Service Act. The reasoning behind The Society of Nuclear Medicine’s decision to force Congress’ hand is simple: uneducated techs make mistakes and those mistakes mean poor images and misdiagnosis—all of which costs millions of dollars and could cost the lives of countless human beings.
